Dan the Drummer and Dan the Cyclist

My son Dan is a drummer…. and a percussion instructor. He’s competed for years with a winter drum corps. One time I “googled” his name to see what would show up. It turns out that someone else has the same full name as him. It's not that the name is common either. This person happens to be a professional cyclist who lives in Colorado. I wrote to him asking if maybe he was a long lost relative of my husband’s side of the family. I also told him about my son. He didn’t think we were related but shared a very interesting story. One time at a race, someone came up to him and asked him if he was related to Dan the drummer. I mean, what are the chances?
